It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the US across the Bering Strait.

To the north-northwest of Saint Kitts and Nevis lie the islands of Sint EustatiusSabaSaint BarthélemySaint-Martin/Sint Maarten and Anguilla. To the east and northeast are Antigua and Barbuda, and to the southeast is the island of Montserrat.
